Afternoon walk

Afternoon walk

Came out a little later today after it had warmed up a little (24F) so the girls could have a run without their coats on ๐Ÿ˜‰ I think with the wind chill tomorrow they will definitely need to be wrapped up then!
Snow Timelapse

Snow Timelapse

The church parking lot- 36 hours (6am, Sunday, 1/25/26 – 6pm, Monday, 1/26/26) in 6 minutes.

Many thanks to Sam and his guys for digging us out- I’m very glad I don’t have to do it any more!

Deep Snow!

Deep Snow!

Snowshoes on and here we are in the woods, we seem to be the first ones here so we’re breaking trail ๐Ÿ™‚ The lot is still closed do we had to park illegally at the bottom ๐Ÿ˜‰

It’s absolutely beautiful, but heavy going even with the snowshoes!

After another trek to the Rec in the even deeper snow with the dogs I came back to find that Walter needed his flap digging out. It has a little “porch” that I built to protect it from the weather, but that was no match for this blowing snow- here it is from inside and outside:

And here it is after 15 minutes with a shovel:

I doubt he will actually go out for a while (he has an inside litter box in this weather), but at least now he can if he really wants to ๐Ÿ˜‰

Snow Day!

Snow Day!

While I would absolutely love to be able to go around Saxon Woods on my snowshoes, I think even with the Crosstrek it would be foolish to try and get there today ๐Ÿ˜‰ So I took the girls for three circuits around the Rec and they had a fabulous time chasing each other through the snowdrifts:

They had so much fun I think we’ll do it again later ๐Ÿ™‚
