Another of my favorite Russian lenses, the Industar-50-2 50mm f/3.5

It’s such a funny little lens that the adapter to put it on my Sony dwarfs it!

But it has tons of character and shows that you don’t need multiple elements and complicated electronics to make some lovely images 🙂

As I hope the following show…

But this is far and away my favorite image of the day!

Happy 21st Birthday!

Happy 21st Birthday!

A few pictures form Crisp’s socially-distanced and masked small birthday celebration in the parking lot- 2020-style :/

We had a delicious take-out dinner from the Roadhouse after this, and Crisp is currently hosting a virtual get-together of friends on the interwebs, and he says he’s had an awesome day 🙂

Happy Birthday Monkey!

Sunny Saturday

Sunny Saturday

Back out into the woods, this morning with the lovely Jupiter 9 85mm f/2…

It’s a lovely lens that, although its general specs are very similar to the Helios 40-2 85mm f/1.5 I was using a few days ago, has a lovely character all its own, especially in the bright sun we had this morning; though it is a lot smaller and lighter- here are the two together, Jupiter 9 on the left, Helios 40-2 on the right:

And just for good measure here are a few with a modern, autofocus lens, the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8…

Another day, another lens, this time the slightly ridiculous Zenitar-M 16mm f/2.8 fisheye. As it was such a dreary morning I though processing all these in black and white was the right thing to do, and then I had a bit of fun with some of them 🙂
