Amy Pond (2)

After the unfortunate mismatch we had with Tessa last month, I have waited a week or so to post something, but this time we have a match, so meet the new Amy Pond 🙂

We adopted her last Saturday from Pet Rescue in Harrison and, though it has taken her a little while to come out of her shell, she is starting fit into our family very nicely. She is an 18 month old Lab mix (though mixed with what we don’t know- but should in a couple of weeks when we get the DNA test back) from a shelter in Georgia (as was Faith). The shelter called her Allie, but we’ve decided to go with Amy Pond again- for Doctor Who reasons 😉

Her and Faith are starting to become friends, they walk very nicely together on the leash and have been hanging out at home and in the woods (she’s on a long leash for now, but she’s learning) …

… and playing together (we’ve been able to use the back yard at the Rectory) …
… where Faith really seems to enjoy a good game of chase 🙂
And she has become fast friends with Walter, who has amazingly just accepted her immediately.

She’s a very gentle soul and is still timid around new people (and us a bit), but she’s gradually gaining confidence and we’re letting her set the pace.

These are lovely pictures of Amy. She looks so much like Molly.
