IR in the Woods

Everything is still a little grey and bland in the woods, waiting for the green to start showing, so I took my full-spectrum IR A7ii today at lunchtime with my 16-35mm Sony f/4 and the 590nm “Supercolor” filter to add some interest…

And it certainly does add some interest to bare trees and washed out skies!

I’m still learning how to process the false color of these images, but it’s a lot of fun 🙂

Most of these images are “color swapped” (you swap the red and blue channels otherwise you end up with red skies), but that does interesting things when you have a blue car 😉
