Roll on Winter!

I have just received my new winter boots, ready for whatever winter wants to throw our way: a pair of Oboz Bridger 10in Insulated B-Dry Boots that I got for less than half price through Geartrade 🙂 Super warm and comfortable, and just made for the kind of terrain I hike every day (and they have gaiter loops on the front and ridges for snowshoe straps on the back) they seem to get lots of good reviews too.
If you have not heard of Geartrade and you are into any kind of outdoor pursuits I highly recommend you check them out! It is a dedicated website for people to sell second hand gear- boots, rucksacks, snowshows etc. and I have gotten some serious bargains over the years! As well as private people selling their own stuff, online stores like Backcountry use them to sell what I guess must be returns or overstock products. These boots, for example, were advertised as second hand, in excellent shape, and were being sold by Backcountry. As far as I can tell, they are brand new- they may have been tried on by someone, but they still have their cardboard inserts in them and the soles are perfectly clean and have obviously never been outside! And I got them for less than half price 🙂
So, if it could stop being warm and humid, please, I’d like to have some cold weather so I can try these out 😉
