More flowers …

More flowers …

I switched my day off this week as I had to get Crisp to an appointment in the Bronx this morning. But as we got back much earlier than expected I was able to grab my camera and the girls and complete Monday’s interrupted photo walk 🙂 Same plan as before … explore the flora using shallow depth-of-field to isolate subjects in an almost abstract way …

These two are my favorites of the day …

Same gear as last time- Sony A7iii with Helios 40-2 85mm f/1.5 mounted on a focusing helicoid, just didn’t need the LED light today as there was abundant sunshine. The helicoid adapter makes an awesome difference on this 85mm lens- most of these flowers are 1/4 to 1/2 inch at most 🙂

And of course I was assisted by Holly and her friend “swamp-thing” …

Luckily Faith seems less averse to the water as it’s getting warmer, so I was able to get her in to rinse her off 😉

Oh- and I’m also super stoked 🙂 I was researching an upgrade to the graphics card in my computer (an oldish, but high-end commercial Nvidia Quadro K620- one of the reasons I bought this workstation) as the latest version of Lightroom was getting pretty sluggish. But I found a website that suggested a different driver and a few tweaks- and it’s made a huge difference! No need to upgrade, it’s zipping along now …
