RIP Saeed Jaffrey

Very sad to hear of the death today of Saeed Jaffrey.

I worked with him on a Radio 4 Afternoon Theatre adaptation of Old Mali and the Boy in 1975 when I was 11. It was a long time ago, but I remember how generous and patient he was with an inexperienced youngster.

I must remember to ask my Dad if he still has the reel-to-reel recording of it and if there is any way he could get it transferred to CD and send me a copy…
