Putting the boy to work

There were a few problems with our new snow removal guy today, mostly timing and inexperience I think, but one thing that threw him for a loop was this big pile of snow that the town plows pushed over the sidewalk at the bottom of Rectory St. He couldn't get anywhere attacking it with a snowblower so he told me I'd need to call another landscaper with a backhoe to take care of it. I told him he just needed 2 guys with shovels and an ice chipper. By 3 o'clock it had not been touched so I asked Crisp if he wanted to make a few bucks and the two of us took care of it in less than an hour. I'm going to pay Crisp handsomely and take the money off the snow guy's bill when it comes in 🙂
