The apple doesn’t fall very far from the tree…

Crisp and his buddies have been in the undercroft for the last couple of hours, but they’re not playing video games.
They are playing Dungeon World, a game that was recommended to them by the man at our friendly neighborhood game shop as a good introduction to the world of Dungeons and Dragons.
They went there en masse the other week with an eye to getting what they needed to start playing D&D, but apparently it is between editions (the 5th edition comes out soon) so it’s not a good time to spend money on the current edition as it is getting difficult to find and will soon be obsolete. So the man in the shop recommended this game as a good way to get used to the gameplay etc. until the new edition is on the shelves.
I used to play D&D when I was their age and have many fond memories of epic campaigns, so it’s wonderful to hear the same good-natured arguments and yelling coming from them as I deliver pizza to fortify them in their quest 🙂
