This crazy disposable world

This crazy disposable world

Our dishwasher had started to leak from underneath so I called the appliance repair guy I use, he traced the leak to some components in the door and went away to get the price of the parts he needed. I was floored when he called me to say the parts and labour to repair it were going to be $250! This is not an expensive machine we're talking about. So I went to look at Home Depot and found I could get a very well reviewed, basic Maytag for under $300. Now I hate the idea of not repairing the old one, but when I could get a new one, with a warranty, for only $50 more than repairing the old one (which had also gotten pretty noisy too) there really was no choice. At least I can save a few more bucks by installing it myself 🙂
