Riding Isaac’s coat-tails
Indoors today because of the rain we are getting- the outer fringes of Hurricane Isaac, thankfully we are far enough south to miss the worst of it. We had to deal with a bit of a flood this morning due to the amount of rain coming off the roof overwhelming the drain in the little garden on the deck, but thanks to our neighbors producing a sheet or corrugated iron ("galvanized") we were able to divert the flow into the pool, pics to follow. We've just paused a mammoth Bonanza game for lunch, and hopefully La Tartaruga will call back soon to confirm our reservation for dinner. We managed to rearrange the excursions we had planned for the next few days, thanks to the very nice lady at Yes Tourism, as we were originally booked to go sailing tomorrow and it probably won't clear up by then. In the middle of all this Simon called from the UK with Josh's GCSE results- 1 A*, 4 As, 4 BS & 2 Cs ! Brainiac 😉
